Award Recipient: Tim Atseff

Congratulations to Tim Atseff who received the Onondaga Citizens League 2012 Civic Beautification Award at the June 6 annual meeting for creation and maintenance of The Susan Atseff Memorial Park, also known as Salt Springs Park. The award recognizes landscapes and plantings that enhance the livability of the city, are pleasing to the eye, enhance a view, define and create a space or seating area and activate a public space.

The Civic Beautification Award was an Action Step taken as a result of the 2011 OCL study report, “Community Image: Valuing Our Public Spaces”  that explored  what creates a positive community image, why community image is important, and strategies for creating and sustaining successful public spaces.
