OCL is preparing to launch its 2014 study on the employment skills gap: what it is, why it exists, what is being done about it – questions of critical importance to the community’s economic health and quality of life.  The study will build on the many separate efforts and discussions taking place in the community around the longstanding challenge of matching workforce skills with employer needs, especially in “middle-skills” jobs – those requiring more than high school but not necessarily a college degree.  Interesting in joining the Study Committee?  Email ocl@syr.edu or call 443-4846 for more information.
